2020 Jaguar E-Pace vs 2020 Lexus UX: A different kind of luxury

The 2020 Jaguar E-Pace stands out by offering typical Jaguar DNA and performance, all wrapped up in an exquisite package that offers distinctive styling, inside and out. The new Jaguar E-Pace has a lot going for it which is how it can stand out from some tough competitors including the 2020 Lexus UX. Here’s how the Jaguar small SUV outshines the entry-level luxury SUV from Lexus.

Of course, in the end what really matters are your specific needs. There’s always a perfect vehicle for everyone. If you want versatility, power under the hood, high-end luxury at a fair price and a unique design that stands out, the 2020 Jaguar E-Pace has the advantage over the 2020 Lexus UX.

A lot more power under the hood

One of the biggest knocks on the 2020 Lexus UX is that it doesn’t have a lot of power under the hood. Indeed, its base 2.0-litre engine is taken from lesser Toyota models and delivers only 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque. This means that the Lexus UX reaches 100 km/h in over 9.0 seconds which is more like a compact SUV than a luxury SUV.

On the other hand, the 2020 Jaguar E-Pace features a powerful 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that is turbocharged and delivers 246 horsepower and 246 pound-feet of torque out of the gate. This allows it to reach 100 km/h in under 7.0 seconds. There’s also an ever more powerful version of this engine that delivers 296 horsepower which gets to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds which is much more aligned with what people expect from a luxury SUV.

Behind the rear seats, the Jaguar E-Pace offers 577 litres of total cargo space which is almost 100 more litres than the Lexus UX. There’s also more space up front and for the rear passengers in the 2020 Jaguar E-Pace.

If you want versatility and enough power to always pass and accelerate with confidence, the 2020 Jaguar E-Pace has the advantage over the 2020 Lexus UX. Contact us today to learn more!
