2021 Jaguar F-Type vs 2021 Chevrolet Corvette : Choose British Sophistication

There’s no sports car like the Jaguar F-Type. With a rich heritage in motorsport, powerful engines and refined driving dynamics no other rival can attain, the F-Type has more to offer than the competition. Moreover, even if it provides competition-level performance, the F-Type is also docile and comfortable for day to day driving.

Here, we compare the 2021 Jaguar F-Type with the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette.

More power and possibilities with the 2021 Jaguar F-Type

Performance is one of the key pillars of the Jaguar brand. The 2021 F-Type is offered with a choice of three incredible engine options to please every single kind of driver. The base P300 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine outputs 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which represents plenty of performance, but it also provides much better efficiency than the Corvette’s sole engine option.

The F-Type is also available with the P380 engine, a supercharged 3.0-litre unit that delivers 380 horsepower ad 339 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the R variant uses a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 which outputs 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. This last variant provides exhilarating accelerations that cannot be matched.

The Chevrolet Corvette is available with only one engine choice, and that is a 495-horpsepower V8 engine. This sole engine option is much less powerful than the F-Type’s R variant, and much less efficient than the two other engine options.

Needless to say, the F-Type deploys maximum versatility in terms of powertrain choice, but it also takes the lead in terms of power in this comparison.

More technology inside the 2021 Jaguar F-Type

The F-Type is more than just a sports car, it’s a lifestyle. The Jaguar F-Type features the navigation, music, phone connectivity and more on the intuitive Touch Pro interface, which is a much more advanced and user-friendly system than the Corvette’s system.

If you need more sun this summer, the F-Type comes in convertible form with a full-electric top which can be removed at the touch of a button. The Corvette only has a Roadster configuration, which requires that you remove the roof panel by hand and store in the storage compartment. This is much less convenient when the weather changes suddenly.
