2021 Jaguar F-Type vs. 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster: As Unique as It Gets

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is the pinnacle of performance and technology in a package that surpasses all rivals in terms of style. Moreover, it carries a dose of British racing heritage that no other sports car can provide. The Jaguar F-Type is available with unique technologies and comforts that will make all your drives an exhilarating experience.

Here, we compare the 2021 Jaguar F-Type with the 2021 Porsche 718 Boxster.

More power and performance in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type

The 2021 F-Type is offered with a choice of three incredible engine options, covering a wide range of needs. The base P300 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine outputs 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. This is similar power rating compared to the Boxster’s base engine, but the Porsche has much less torque. With only 280 lb-ft, the Boxster is disadvantaged in terms of driveability and accelerations.

The F-Type is also available with the P380 engine, a supercharged 3.0-litre unit that delivers 380 horsepower ad 339 lb-ft of torque. This is more power and torque than what the Boxster S’s engine offers, but also more torque than both the Boxster GTS and Boxster Spyder, which only output 309 lb-ft. Needless to say, the F-Type is all about driving dynamics and pure accelerations.

But this British sports car is available with one additional engine. The R variant uses a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that delivers a whopping 575 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, which represents upwards of 200 lb-ft of torque more than the Boxster more powerful engine, as 150+ horsepower more.

More comfort and technologies in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is more comfortable and more technological than the Boxster. Also, it offers much more cargo space, with up to 336 litres to store luggage or other objects. The Boxster only deploys 125 litres, which limits the possibilities if you decide to go on a road trip.

The F-Type is also geared with the Touch Pro in-car infotainment system on a standard 10” touchscreen. You can also use the Jaguar Remote App to check fuel levels, pinpoint the vehicle’s location and conveniently lock/unlock the vehicle and control climate remotely.
