2022 Jaguar F-Pace vs. 2021 Audi Q7: A Few Reasons to Choose the F-Pace as Your Next Luxury SUV

When just an ordinary luxury SUV isn't enough, the 2022 F-Pace reimagines the possibilities. New designs offer one of the most distinctively modern SUVs on the road. Several powertrain options present a range of choices that fit your driving style, and interior updates and new technologies add to an exciting cabin.

The F-Pace is now one of the most respected crossovers in its segment. To illustrate, we compare it to the 2021 Audi Q7.

The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace Offers More Model Options and Powertrains

The F-Pace lineup features several models, each with its own powertrain. A total of four powertrains are available. The F-Pace S includes a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that produces 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The popular P340 engine powers the R-Dynamic S model with 335 horsepower.

Let's introduce the Q7's two standard powertrains before diving into the F-Pace's remaining engines. The Q7's 45 TFSI engine is offered in two grades and produces 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This is nearly the same output as the F-Pace S. The Q7's 55 TFSI powertrain also has about the same capability as the P340, but things diverge from there.

The F-Pace R-Dynamic S offers yet another level of capability with the P400 engine that produces 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. The Q7 does not offer a powertrain at this level unless you purchase the SQ7, which outputs 500 horsepower.

However, the F-Pace SVR delivers the best horsepower rating in this comparison—550. Overall, the F-Pace edges out the Q7 in powertrain choice and capability.

The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace Gives You More Value

The base F-Pace has the lower price point. Although pricing hasn’t been confirmed for 2022, the 2021 model started $60,350. This is quite a bit lower than the Q7's base MSRP of $67,950. And when you place both vehicles side-by-side, it's easy to assume the F-Pace would come with the highest price tag. Nevertheless, you can take a base F-Pace and make substantial customizations before reaching the Q7's base MSRP.

Subsequent F-Pace models, including the F-Pace SVR, also have lower base MSRPs than the Q7/SQ7. Jaguar offers better value on investment with each F-Pace.
