2022 Jaguar F-Pace vs. 2021 Porsche Macan: When You Need a Versatile SUV and the Best Performance

The F-Pace is one of the most distinctive luxury performance SUVs in production. Jaguar makes the F-Pace even better in 2021 with new designs inside and out. The F-Pace also upgrades the Pivi Pro infotainment, an impressive suite of driver assistance tech, and a powertrain selection that will satisfy pedestrian and adventurous drivers alike.

We are proud to compare the all-new 2022 F-Pace to other challengers in the segment. Here, we compare it to the 2021 Porsche Macan.

The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace reigns supreme in performance

The F-Pace's exciting design lends itself to sporty powertrains and other performance systems. The F-Pace S begins the lineup with two engine options. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces a solid 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The second option is the P340 engine that generates 335 horsepower and 354 lb-ft. The F-Pace R-Dynamic includes the P400 powertrain with 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.

However, the F-PACE SVR has the last word of any powertrain in this comparison. It features the P550 engine with an exhilarating 550 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. It achieves a maximum speed of 286 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. This runs circles around the Macan's fastest model, the Macan Turbo, which peaks at 434 horsepower and 270 km/h. It is also a half second slower than the SVR in the 0-100 km/h acceleration test.

The 2022 Jaguar F-Pace is more versatile

The F-Pace isn't just a performer. It's made to fulfill the role of an SUV in a versatile manner. It features 1,842 liters of cargo volume behind the front row compared to 1,503 liters the Macan offers in the same configuration. When both rows are filled with family and friends, the F-Pace maintains a generous 793 liters of cargo volume behind the second row. Comparatively, the Macan is limited to 488 liters.

The F-Pace has many other interior features that make it an exceptional vehicle. Safety systems such as Traffic Sign Recognition and Adaptive Speed Limiter, Front and Rear Parking Aid, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keep Assist are standard beginning with the starting grade level. However, there is so much more to experience.
